Our boaters enjoy deep waters and no bridges between Kona Kai Marina on Shelter Island and the San Diego Bay or Pacific Ocean. With over 500 slips we are pleased to accommodate 30′ vessels and up to 250′ Mega Yachts.
The New Thresher 2023 Boats Are In! – Each boat is meticulously handcrafted and custom rigged. All boats meet or exceed ABYC Standards and are NMMA Certified to guarantee the highest safety and standards. Thresher Boats come well equipped with a long list of important features for a great fishing experience.
Thresher Boats is located in Oceanside, CA and is a locally owned and operated family business established in 2014 by Brandon and Richard Wesselink after years of research and development.
There is no better place to enjoy a day on the ocean. Regardless of the time of the year, San Diego usually has perfect fishing weather, and our boats are built for the open water. When conditions are not ideal, the National Weather Service (NWS) provides weather, water, and climate forecasts and warnings.
San Diego offers a diverse and bountiful selection of fish. Depending on the season, look for popular sport fish like bluefin yellowfin, yellowtail, dorado (mahi mahi), and marlin. Tell us what you want to catch and we’ll get you to the right place with the right gear and bait.
